TREE STUMP REMOVAL COMMONLY KNOWN AS STUMP GRINDING IS THE REMOVAL OF TREE STUMPS BELOW GROUND LEVEL
Generally after an arborist has removed a tree the stump will still be remaining sitting above ground.
WHY MIGHT YOU REMOVE A STUMP?
- Building- Quite often when levelling a site stumps can cause a problem. It’s not only quicker but more cost effective to use a stump grinder. Digging out stumps is slow and the cost to dump them once out is extremely expensive. Stump grindings created by the machine can be easily spread around the site or mixed into the soil and disposed of cheaply.
- Lawn mowing- Lawn mowing around stumps is extremely tedious and annoying. Using a stump grinder to shallow grind just below the surface is a cost effective way to solve the problem. Generally 100mm below ground is enough in this case. Once ground a few handfuls of top solid and a sprinkling of grass seed and you have your lawn back.
- Re growing stumps- Certain species of tree can be extremely resilient and will grow back even after being poisoned. Stump grinding this will kill the stump and roots for good stopping any annoying re-growth.
- Replanting- When needing to replant in most situations we are able to completely remove the stump allowing you to re plant in a similar location. Stump grinding an area prior to planting also makes the soil easier to dig, speeding up the planting process.
- Aesthetics- Sometimes it’s all about appearance and the stump left behind by the arborists is just an eye sore. We have a range of stump grinders that can remove ANY Stump in ANY location.

The smallest of our grinders this machine can get into the tightest of spots. It can be carried by 1 person and is easily lifted into raised planter boxes, up retaining walls and we have even used this on the side of a cliff face. There is no stump we cannot reach with this machine.

RAYCO WALK BEHIND STUMP GRINDER
Designed for small to medium stumps this machine is extremely powerful and leaves minimal footprint and mess compared to tracked grinders. The 24 horse power Rayco stump grinder will fit through a gap of 740mm and has the ability to drive up steps or ramps to access tricky locations.

Our largest machine is a state of the art 74hp tracked hydraulic stump grinder suitable for all stumps. It is our high production machine capable of grinding large development sites, shelterbelts or large residential stumps. This machine will fit through a 900mm gap and can grind down to 1200mm below surface.

I've used Tree King 2 or 3 times for pruning and removal, always do a great job and lovely guys.
I highly recommend team of guys from Tree Kings.They removed two large Macrocarpa trees .Whole process was seamless and efficient with prompt contact and affordable quote.They did excellent job .If I need another tree removed in future I know where to go.

Tree King were fabulous, they were easy to deal with on the phone. Came round to scope job and provide us a quote very quickly.
