When that stump is in the way!

When that stump is in the way!

What do footings, fences and gardens have in common? They all have the potential to be stumped!

Stumps that have been left behind in the ground can be a real nuisance, especially when you have plans for the area where the stump is.

When a tree is removed it’s common for the root system to remain in the ground. It’s difficult to know how far the root system goes by just looking at it from above, and who knows where you might end up if you try to dig up all those roots! Unfortunately, finding a stump where you have plans for that space can be a problem, and often working around the stump is not an option. It’s either got to come out, or it’s got to get well below ground-level.

No, if it does we’ll come back and grind it again for free. Exceptions to this rule are particularly invasive species such as bamboo or the brazillain pepper tree which must be poisoned as well as grinding.
We have multiple different machines and can grind any sized stump in any location.
Cost depends on a number of factors such as size, tree type, ground type, terrain and grinding depth so there is no set price per stump. However due to our efficient methods, most clients are pleasantly surprised at how cost effective it can be.
This is simply raked back into the hole leaving a flat finish on most stumps. The mulch gets mixed in with the soil and breaks down quickly. It is also fine to use around the rest of the garden if there is a lot of it.
Yes, this is possible on some stumps but generally several times more expensive than grinding. It also leaves a considerable mess and cause unavoidable damage to the surrounding area as well as leaving you with a huge hole to fill and stump to dispose of. Stump grinding is a much better option.

Stump grinding has countless benefits, the most obvious of which is being able to use the area again for something new. We can grind deep enough to replant, sow grass or even dig foundations where your stump once sat. Just let us know what you’re planning and we’ll help make it happen!

“…. I can not speak highly enough of the professionalism and efficiency of the crew. The tree work was not straight forward, however it was clear from the outset that the crew had taken the time to think through the logistics and details of the job…..”

“Fast workers – scheduled within a week of contact at my convenience. I liked how professional and automated the acceptance of the contract and invoicing was. All within a single email. Also attention paid to how much I wanted my trees trimmed. And although three trees were stumped – cleaned up well after themselves. They did such a good job, I won’t be needing them for a couple of years. But when I do – I know who to come back to!”
